Gingko huttoni (170My) Yorkshire

Wedge-shaped leaves with six fingers on a short stem. Preserved as a black carbon film on a golden sandstone. Many of these leaves can be seen on one block.

Gingkos survive today as one species - the Maidenhair tree of Japan and China.
