NAUTILOIDS AND GONIATITES
Orthoceras (380 My) Morocco

Straight (orthocone) nautiloid. One side of these fossils is highly polished, showing a cross- section through the body chambers of this fossil. The chambers are clearly visible preserved as a pale calcite against a black limestone rock matrix. Very attractive.

Orthoceras (380 My) Morocco

Same as above with polished nautiloids standing proud of a rough dark limestone matrix. Normally carry a range in sizes, £18 to £145 usually. Examples -

25x25cm with approximately 6 Nautiloids £45

...with individual Nautiloid 60cm in length and 10 other polished individuals £220. Now have smaller pieces with spiral shelled ammonoids at £55.

Goniatites (380My) Morocco

These goniatites have been polished to show the internal structure. The internal chambers have been infilled with reddy-brown and beige limestone and mudstone some are filled with creamy calcite, making these very attractive pieces.

Ammonoid (380 My) Morocco

These relatives of both goniatites and ammonites have been polished from a limestone matrix. The chambers are infilled with calcite and a red- brown mudstone.
